Memory foam mattress recommendations.

We are looking for recommendations on a memory foam mattress. We need a short queen. There are lots of vendors on line but we would love some personal experiences. What brand? Where did you get it?
I did a search and found a few old threads but not much that was helpful.
  • Purchased the 10" thick Spa Sensation foam mattress from Walmart.
Used the electric knife to cut to fit and rounded the corners.
    Very easy to cut.
The wife & I sleep very well on it!

  • If you go with Walmart, they have a good customer satisfaction policy...it can't be altered, but return it if it doesn't fit! You do need to ask if bedding is covered by that policy.
  • And remember, Walmart will let you order online and pick up at your local store, with no shipping charges. Or, you can buy online, and most likely get free shipping direct. Like everyone said, it is very easy to cut one down to fit. An electric knife works best, but it cna be done with any regular knife. A bread slicer works well, that is what we used last time.
  • Get whatever brand or type you can find, and cut the end off to fit. Our bed has a solid plywood base for the mattress, so we have two pads, for a total of about 6". We cut the ends of both to fit. We have another mattress pad that we got for the house, got it at Sams Club, costs about $150, has fiber pad and cover. Thinking about using that in the RV in place of what it there now. We sleep very well on the foam. Walmart also has several different ones. I would not shop online due to the shipping weight.
  • Assuming this is for your RV, we've been very happy with the one we got from Walmart. I think they come in a couple of thickness varieties. It was easy to cut with an electric knife to fit the contour of the trailer.
  • Believe it or not, Walmart has on-line 12 inch memory foam king for about $300. We have one in our home and 5er.
  • Try Verlo.com. Keep in mind that not all foam is the same; some are more dense than others. Probably price is a judge.
