After a bad motorcycle accident 5 years ago that left me with a crippled leg, my focus was on how to become "normal" again. It took a while to realize I can't be the way I was. Since joining rv.net, and following, and sometimes posting to, this forum, I found that everyone faces challenges and there is no "normal". I may be worse off than some, but better off than others. We all enjoy life the best we can. I am thankful for the fellowship and support of everyone here. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!
Merry Christmas to you.
Best advice I received when becoming disabled: "Focus on what you CAN do, not what you CAN'T do."
My DH has stage 4 lung/heart disease, plus chronic lung infection so he frequently feels fatigued and breathless. Still, he says "I can be sick at home in my bed or I can be sick in the woods. I choose the woods." He is my inspiration.
