Met a Good Samaritan Today

Pulled into a campground around dusk. It is on fairgrounds property with dirt roads and grass sites. Just about to swing into the site when the neighbor down the way flags me to stop. He politely warned me of the hidden mud hole that had gobbled up another rig as he had arrived. Took a look at the mud hole and man o man did I give him a huge thank you. I would still be digging muck to try and get out. It was completely hidden in the grass I would have been stuck big time.

Thank you fellow rver!

  • Had I known, I would have done the same.

We aren't particularly social people and generally keep to ourselves when we are in proximity to others, but we tend to notice our surroundings. 2 weeks ago I observed a rig headed out of the CG with the antenna up. When I stopped him he was within 5' of beheading it with a tree. He was almost tearfully grateful. No self aggrandizement here, just hope that someone does the same for me down the road.

    Thanks for your post.
