Why would a policeman take her to a motel and not the hospital?????????????
A LFO can not force the victim of an accident to to seek medical attention. He is only obligated to assure that the victim is safe from another accident. That usually means transporting the person off of a rural road or limited access freway and to a location where there is public transportation availabe or friends and relatives can safely pick them up.
even the ambulance personnel nor the firefighters can force someone to seek medical attention. they can only try to convince the victim.
can't even count the number of times we had to have a victim sign an AMA(against medical advice)section, so that we wouldn't be held liable for the victim refusing medical help or transport.
