Well states are going to longer and longer license renewal periods, I think Arizona is like 30 years. Oregon is 8 years.
The sad part is maybe drivers test should not just test normal driving, but handling emergency situations, and reaction times. That would get rid of likely 1/3 of the drivers on the road now days!!
The biggest issue is it is just not older drivers, I see on a daily basis people that drive and have about zero driving skills.
In reality all drivers should be retested every 2 to 4 years, written and driving with eye test. I would not like to pay thr cost, it is just the truth.
