I would say a boat launch is a whole lot easier to watch than a CG. The boat launch gets used repeatedly in the same spot where the CG actions moves from site to site. I would pick up my daughter from Kindergarten and we would take the boat out. We had an electric winch so when it was launched she could hold the boat while I parked the car & trailer. To get back on she did the same and would even hook the line to the bow hook. We had a couple of older fellows watch us and then ask how we did that without unhitching the trailer from the car. They were walking around in the water looking for their trailer.
