Great story and was laughing as I read it. We have witness similar attempts at getting parked.
Having had a sailboat for almost 25 years sailing the Pacific Northwest, our favorite activity was watching the power boaters with their 30-40' attempting to set an anchor, which generally just amounted to letting it drop until it hit the bottom, turning of the engine(s). Even more entertaining was watching them attempting to get it docked in a tight place. More than once saw the wife through down a dock line, yell "do it yourself" and go into the main cabin and had a straight scotch!! Great fun!
