Getting ready to head to outer banks in a couple weeks. In anticipation of the mosquitos, wondering what successful products people have had besides netting, screens, sprays, staying inside, etc... ...

The only thing about the thermacells, besides the video I watched where it didn't work for a guy (you could see the mosquitos) is the cost. The cost of it is not the bad part, but the cost to continuously use it. For one butane cartridge and 3 pads, you are talking about $7 or so... and that's only for 12 hours. And if there are more than 1 of you, then you need one for everyone or everyone stays within a 15' radius. So you are spending $7/day per person..for a week long trip, that gets pretty expensive...think we will try the fans (yes I know they cost a good bit too, but they will be used over and over....no more costs) and probably pick uo some skeeter beater...
