We have a little machine called Mosquito Magnet that works well. It runs on propane. They are a little pricey but well worth it.
It takes about 2 weeks to rid your area of mosquitos. This machine attracts the females only. They fly in and die in there. The males just die on their own after the females are gone.
The males don't bite. Only the females bite.
