I don't like the lingering smell of the moth balls either. This year it took a week of airing out the TT to get rid of the smell. So, I am trying something new this winter. I purchased several mattress bags at WalMart. I wrapped the mattresses in them as well as the upholstery from the dinette, chairs, etc. My hope is with these items wrapped in the plastic that the smell isn't absorbed as badly and prevents the lingering smells in the spring. BTW I don't have any carpet in my TT. The only other fabric are the decorative covers on the top of the vertical blinds.
