Does anyone have a suggestion for a reliable used Motor home? 25-30' in length with sliders.

When you buy a used MH the best of brands may have problems depending how it was cared for. I think I would be more interested in how well a used MH was cared for, maintenance records, water damage etc.A lot depends on gas or diesel. Tiffin makes a good MH in both gas and diesel. Tiffin has a fiberglass roof. I like my Monaco gas MH. Also a fiberglass roof. Reading this forum and another forum "irv2" check out some the brands that have big problems posted and be careful. If you see posts where someone has had continued problems pass on those brands. A gas MH will most likely be a Ford chassis with a V10. The only thing different will be the box they set on the chassis.

posting this in a travel trailer section won't be good for answers on motorhomes. I would avoid the old P-30/32 chassis and old Ford pre 1999 with 16 inch rims myself.bumpy

It depends on what you want to spend. You can go Class C and you will have "Normal" 16" tires, Ford or Chevy Van Chassis which are fairly easy to work on and reliable. You can go up to a Newer Class A and be in the Bus tire size (19.5 - 22.5") and have a much more durable chassis, but also costs more to maintain.It then depends on the quality and condition of the "box" on the frame.I had a 1977 GMC. It was a small Class A Gas and the only real issue was it was old, and mid-70's GM engine was not great, but the body shell was probably the best ever made. It was small, cramped, but cool and had people looking at it all the time.If I were to buy another older Motorhome, a 1995-1996 Safari (Diesel Pusher) No slides. You can get good ones for very little money and they are very reliable.
