From the RV aspect, when it comes to pulling power or torque, it's hard to beat a diesel. With RV's in the 20,000# to 40,000# GCVWR, diesel is a no brainer.
Same reason you don't see gasoline powered semi's anymore. For brute power, the diesel is hard to beat.
