When a tread is moved, A notice is left in the original from that it has been moved and the notice is a link to the thread in the new forum

Clicking on the link will open the thread in the new forum.
When the thread is moved, the software leaves a message in the first and only post left in the original forum

One can't directly open this post, but can by doing a search or viewing posts, which is really a search.
Then the thread in the original forum is locked.
If the poster realizes that he has posted in the wrong forum and creates a duplicate post in the correct forum, a moderator should add a post to the one in the wrong forum. That post should contain a link to the duplicate thread in the correct forum and close the thread.
Since this thread deals with forum issues, it should have been placed in Forum Technical Support. Whether or not it will be moved to the correct forum is up to the moderators.
