I'm hesitant to blow the pink stuff out of the lines. It seems to me it would leave enough residue to make a mess in the lines over the winter.
I've seen the pink stuff turn to gunk when exposed to air and require scrubbing to get it off. I prefer to keep the system closed with as much of the pink stuff in the lines after it is pumped in and then pump it out in the spring.
