As a first timer, can anyone tell me that if I bring my 40' rig to the monument will I find parking?

Yes lotsa RV parking. Buuut if you want to have less parking,traffic and hassles, go late in the day and stay until they close. Place starts emptying out before supper time and seeing MT Rushmore at night was Awesome!
We just went last summer. I hadn't been since I was a kid and wife and kids was there first time!
Again highly reccomend an evening visit. Seeing the color guard, the presentations, lowering of the flag and lighting up he mountain was very moving.......with like only 10% of the people during the day.
