Maxxis is the manufacturer and they come out of Thailand.

Cheng Shin Rubber (originally Maxxis International) is the *manufacturer*,
Maxxis the mfgr's tire *brand*.
Tenth largest tire mfgr (2010) in the world.
Cheng Shin began in Taiwan in 1967 w/ Maxxis bicycle tires.
There also factories in Thailand, Vietnam and China (and, of course, Taiwan).
Shouldn't matter, but if you're concerned with the country of origin, check the code.
