Murphy Got Me Again
I swear that little sob is permanently rooted on my shoulder with a smirk on his face.
It's time to get rid of the China-bombs on my fiver. The nearest Maxxis dealer is 2 hours away fom here. I called them up last week to check availability and they had 2 in stock but would need to order the others. I called them on Friday and they had arrived and were put aside for me. I convinced the wife to drive there and pick them up and I would have them installed here locally.
So yesterday, I pulled the trailer out of the storage yard and took it down to the tire store. She met me there with the tires still in the car. They've got one side of the trailer jacked up and the 2 wheels off. We grabbed the tires out of her car and they are not Maxxis. They are 4 nice new Chinese made future-bombs.
They put the wheels back on the trailer. I took it back to the storage yard. I just called the tire store. Somehow in all of our phone conversations they didn't realize that I wanted Maxxis. Even with the note I sent with her that even included the Maxxis name and actual part number, nobody clued in. They have ordered the correct tires and I have to make the 4 hour return trip to exchange them.
