To clear up a few misconceptions, I took it to the dealership to have the system flushed because they offer free winterizing and flush for the life of the travel trailer if you purchase the trailer from them. I thought it would save me a lot of trouble since I found the wintering instructions confusing. That is what I get for thinking.
I am going to locate a mobile tech to teach me how to do this though I would prefer to pay someone else to do it. I really don't care to crawl on my belly under the trailer to access the low point lines.
As far as my conversation with the female service manager, I called up because I was worried about the water pump being left on and to find out if there was an easy way to empty the fresh water tank. I was very calm and polite when I called. Instead of just explaining to me that the water pump would be fine and telling me the easy way to drain the fresh water tank, she launched into a heated discussion about how my tanks were not full of water. After defending myself for several minutes, I got angry and said to her " just tell me how to fix the **** problem, that's all I want to know." It was at this point she hung up on me. I had to call back and talk to the salesman who sold me the trailer to just answer my question. By then, I was very upset.
To defend myself, this is their second service department manager in less than a year. I was told the previous manager did not get along with the customers. Evidently, this one doesn't either.
I am usually a very quiet person. I love to garden, cook and read. But sometimes this can be a problem. Some people think that they can bully you. That is fine with me. I am sure this service manager is proud of her actions. But this dealership has lost me as a customer as well as others who have been treated this way.
I would like to thank everyone on this forum for all their advice and knowledge. I have learned more from all of you than from any manuals or service department. You made my dream of owning a travel trailer a reality.
