My Anniversary
Just wanted to let you know this marks my 20th anniversary of giving up work---and I'm only 57. I didn't start RVing until a couple of years later.

Retired the first time 37 years ago at 38 (USAF) retired "for real"
27 years later at 65. Been really retired for 10 years.
BTW I have known a couple of people who retired at a young age (retired for real) It had nothing to do with welfare, unemployment or anything like that.
I was through steady working and planning for it,taking calculated risks and playing most all their cards right.
Most of us are not so forward thinking.Me included.
I don't know the OP's story but some folks are sure quick to jump to conclusions.
