When I purchased my TT back in 2011, a flimsy sewage hose came with it, so I tossed it into the bumper and forgot about it, as I bought a far better hose which resides in a plastic tub in a storage compartment.While doing some inspections this past weekend, I popped the end caps off, noticed the hose in the bumper was gone.No big loss... because that hose was something that would be just for a dire emergency if the other two hoses failed..It is a good thing in a way that after four years of camping, averaging 24-30 camping days a year, that the one item that walks off is the stinky slinky.

that's a new one. usually you lose it while driving down the road. but if both caps are still in place than either it's in the middle of the bumper or it was stolen.

Someone stole mine while it was hooked up at a Resort during the night.

If someone steals THAT, they are desperate.

My wheel chocks walked off one time in a storage lot.

My Rig is 10 years old.. In that time I have replaced the 20' Camco self storing hose (The one that comes in a plastic tube)

I have wore out 2 Rino flex

One other

But the flimsy hose that came with the rig....that's the one I'm using right now.

The solution for this would be a long metal strip, two metal bars (one placed at each end), and two padlocks. This would be placed through the endcaps (and the hose) and locked.

However, there is just a limit of what I'm going to bother securing. Life is too short to try to lock down everything.

Maybe they sold Joe Joe a hose spreader and he needed a hose to spread...fire in the hole!

If the endcaps were replaced I'd say they took it while you were nearby. Right under your nose so to speak.

I'm sure if they were that desperate and had asked you'd have said have at it.

The funny thing is that I replaced the end caps a while back with ones that had a better grip, because I wondered why they kept falling off...

I never bothered checking on the hose just because I tossed it in there at the PDI and never bothered with it.

If the caps were falling off, why is the hose "stolen" and not just along side a highway somewhere?

I really can't imagine someone stealing your cheap slinky and then putting the cap back on.
This seems more likely to me or maybe someone else in the family threw it out months ago.

In any event, I hope this is the worst thing that ever happens to the OP or anyone of us.

Yes if you lost an end cap that's probably when you lost the hose. I've lost a couple that way over the years.

Glad to hear that this has happened to someone else. In all the years we have RV'd, the sewer hose is the only thing we had stolen!! Yuck! Ours was while we were camping and it was an extra length we kept in the storage tube...there one day, gone next morning. At least they didn't take the one we were using!
