My smoke dectector doesn't like bacon!
Even with vents and windows open and stove vent fan on I have to remove the battery when I cook bacon!!!

I use disposable sh0wer cap or those plastic bowl covers with elastic in them and just slap one over smoke detector until I'm done cooking......easier than removing battery
