My smoke dectector doesn't like bacon!
Even with vents and windows open and stove vent fan on I have to remove the battery when I cook bacon!!!

I just replaced our smoke detector with one with a hush button. You can even push it before it goes off to make sure it doesn't go off for 15 minutes.
