The orthopedic procedures have advanced in the last six years, my wife had her right hip done about 5 years ago by the posterior method; was in rehab for over a week and still had pain, etc. Then she had the left hip replaced three years ago, anterior method, and was up and about in three days and feeling great. First hip was by a local surgeon, the second one was down in Seattle and there was all the difference in the world between the two different doctors and their staffs. Go to the best you can find, you will be glad you did!
