NC variety vacation land

It really is. You can have breakfast on the Outer Banks, and Supper in the mountains. Just today I had breakfast on the beach, and lunch in the foothills. In another hours I could have been in Boone.

Not many states you can do tat in. California is one. SC is another. I'm sure there are a few others. but it sure is nice to be able to do it.

If you are staying at Topsail, you can make it all the way up to 345' at Britton Hill in an hour, but you really have to watch for the nose bleeds at that altitude...
  • Soooooo- are you bragging?!? Where's the desert?

A two hour drive from me in Maine! :B

  • Yep, pick your temperature. I’m at 2500 ft altitude, drive an hour north to 6,000 ft, an hour south to 1,000 ft.
  • Try Maryland Ocean,Chesapeake Bay,beach mountains all in the same day.
  • Arizona is the same way. Desert to mountains, lakes,Grand Canyon, history etc. We were there in March. Our first night in central Arizona mountains it was 65 when we got there, overnight 2 inches of snow. Then we went to Payson it was in the 70's and low 80's. Then went to Scottsdale to meet some friends and it was 90.
