Need Advice For Caulking RV

Question

I am re-caulking my travel trailer, and I am not sure what to do where the roof meets the gutter. There is a little strip of butyl tape sticking out of where the roof membrane goes into the trim/gutter strip. Should I 1) pull the strip off and caulk the joint, 2) caulk along the butyl strip, or 3) leave it all alone?

Scrape out the butyl and apply the non sag Dicor in the L.

Yes scrape the butyl off. But don't try to pull it from behind the gutter. Just pull the stuff you can see and then caulk over it.

I would suggest you apply Eternabond tape along all the room seams. Do it once and you'll never have to worry about re-caulking again.
