There are a lot of families which pull 5ers across the country to work locations, with small children.
The biggest negative I've heard of is finding a reasonable priced RV park which doesn't mind the kids being there. And a good school.

You will miss having a full-sized laundry if you have one now. The size of the unit is a big set down for most families. 350 to 380 square foot of living space is actually smaller than most two car garages.

I knew a family which did that in the early-mid 60's - only for the summer. It really helped the family grow and bond together being with dad.
