I'm 78 and still alive.
I grew up drinking out of a green garden hose, and since RV'ng I have used every color there is.
My criteria is get the lightest weight one, and one that will coil easily and I could care less about the color

Here's my 2 cents (probably only worth that too)....
Who knows what they are using in hoses these day when they come from China? Right.
You've lived most of your life when most everything was made in the USA, high quality and you have lived during the best of times in America.
