Have you got a pressure regulator at the hose bib of your house? It might have been a defective hose or your water pressure may be too high.
Anytime you have a produce manufactured there will be some that incur defects in the process. I cannot begin to remember all the things that I have bought in my lifetime that have broken or failed.
For drinking water supply one the road I carry two 25 foot long hoses and one 10 foot long hose. 90% of the time the 10 foot hose is all that is needed. If I need a longer hose it usually requires combining 2 or all 3 of the hoses to get the length that is needed. This approach also means I have a backup should one hose fail.
If this is all you have to fret about consider yourself very lucky.
That is so smart to have multiple hoses rather then one long one for redundacy & backup. Will start doing that.
And we have a pressure regulator in the laundry room....but you are probably right again that our water pressure is too high at our outside spigots. I'll ask the hubby to check that or we'll just keep busting these more delicate hoses. Garden hoses seem to do well but they are thick and strong.
Your post has been truly helpful. Thanks! :B
