Our white "Camco" 22803 TastePURE Drinking Water Hose drinking hose just burst today after 14 months of use (Amazon purchase).Added side note:[COLOR=]>>> We DO use a water regulator at campsites.The hose burst when using it to wash the RV at home. In fact this hose never leaves our home. It's for filling up the RV from our house when prepping for a trip.Can anyone recommend one that is of good quality and that will last? Or do these hoses only have a 1 year "usage life"?Also the "safety" of drinking hoses seem to be a continuous debate.What do YOU recommend or what has worked for YOU?

I know there are different quality hoses, seems the stiffer ones are better, but then there is that coiling factor. Not to sound paranoid, but I dont drink campground water anyways.......just dont like the taste of some. Bottled water is cheap around here

I just bought the white hose with blue stripe from Walmart marked for drinking water. Works fine, except the connections at the ends aren't great - takes some fiddling to get them to be leak free. Some people say it is a myth, but I have found that hoses marked "drinking water" (which are usually white with a blue stripe) definitely impart much less of the rubber flavor to water.

Buy another white hose, or the color of your choice, and also buy a pressure regulator. Put the regulator on the CG spigot to protect your hose and RV water system.

I had the Camco also (before it burst)...and I agree...it did not coil up and would kink.

I'm going to try this hose I found on Amazon that seems to be able to take everyday heavy usage....and supposedly high water pressures....and YES...different then the white hoses in color but is "Lead Free"

Thanks for all the great posts.

I think the bottom line is that our trailer hose is doing well as it is baby-ed and kept in the nice dark area with controlled pressure and the one that we leave at home in the sun and is used daily for garden, dog bowls, filling up the RV and washing it is being pounded by heavy work and usage and thus falls apart quickly. And it's possible our water pressure at home is killing the Camco hose.

I probably need to look into a water pressure regulator like some mentioned.

Last time I got one of those "guaranteed not to kink" ones from Camoing world. I been pleased with it but cannot remember how many years old it is.

My water hose I bought at Big Lots (chain discount store) for ~ $8 in '06. It's one of the white ones with a blue stripe.

Our white hose was bought at camping world when we bought the TT in 2010. Still working and not expensive.
