Need small truck to tow with automatic trans;can't find one.

We're pretty new at RV'ing. We are looking for a small truck that can be towed flat behind our 1999 Fleetwood Southwind Storm. We don't need a 4x4, but want something that can do the usual things a toad does, and go on unpaved roads. I want an automatic transmission, as I think I won't do well in unfamiliar surroundings with a stick, and this will be my main driving vehicle when we're not RV'ing. We can't find anything, and hope to leave on our first long trip in a month. DH does not want a big truck. Any ideas? Thanks very much.
