absorbtion cooling units are sensitive to outdoor temperatures. When at optimum outdoor temps , f 40-90, c+ 4- 32 they perform well. Outside temps above or below these will cause a noticeable drop in cooling in an absorption cooling fridge.
To mitigate the effect , in hot weather fans in the outdoor compartment help, in cold weather, restricting , even entire covering of outdoor venting to raise the temp. of the condensing section to its optimum
