Interex, that gives me some comfort as to what I might tow with our 2016 Sequoia SR5. Did you run into any problems with the Sequoia hitch limit (maximum tongue weight)? Although my owner's manual doesn't mention it (??), another Toyota source I found online says it's 740 pounds for my SR5.
SR5? You may not have the same ratings as the Limited and Platinum. Might be missing the towing package as well as 4.30 rear and gear.
Interex is puling the 2nd biggest TT I've ever seen the Sequoia pull, and as a Tundra owner has high credit to his name as to how the SUV feels in comparison.
As a long distance traveler myself, I still urge caution towing a unit 26-33ft long without a top notch set up.
Example, I used to tow a 26ft aero shape TT and never needed the Hensely. Felt good all the time with the Sequoia....heck even a previous Honda Pilot! But one day I took a chance and tried it. Holy cow. I never looked back.
So you may not need a $2,000 hitch for towing a TT, but you will DEMAND it once you tow with it.
