Interex, that gives me some comfort as to what I might tow with our 2016 Sequoia SR5. Did you run into any problems with the Sequoia hitch limit (maximum tongue weight)? Although my owner's manual doesn't mention it (??), another Toyota source I found online says it's 740 pounds for my SR5.
A good WDH is an absolute must with that kind of tongue weight. I forgot my weight scale but the spec on the TT states it's 910 lbs of tongue weight. The bars on my EAZ lift are 1000 lbs but I'll probably end up upgrading them to 1200 when I get the chance. On the Platinum with it's air bag suspension stock, I was able to get the ride height dialed in. On an SR5, I'd recommend adding some air bags. While it pulled fine on the fairly flat highways of Texas, the curvy back roads required a bit more awareness. I've got a Tekonsha P3 and upped the boost setting on it just in case I came up on a curve that wasn't marked well. I was afraid the shorter wheel base was going to be an issue with the handling compared to my Tundra but it did fine. Wind gusts and passing 18-wheelers required some correction but never to the point that I felt it understeer. For someone's first towing experience, I would probably start with something a little smaller but just know that the rig can handle it.

Interex is puling the 2nd biggest TT I've ever seen the Sequoia pull, and as a Tundra owner has high credit to his name as to how the SUV feels in comparison.
As a long distance traveler myself, I still urge caution towing a unit 26-33ft long without a top notch set up.
Thanks! And would certainly agree on having a good setup that's dialed-in correctly.
