Our 1999 Triple E Commanders fridge runs on propane and electric. Wondering if it is ok to drive while running propane in order to use the fridge. Your expertise in this matter would be appreciated. T...

I believe it's dumb to leave it on, especially while fueling. Just because nothing happens to most people,it can happen. And if you're in a major accident with the propane on, you can imagine what could occur. I've been an electrician for 40 plus years. I have seen some really bad electrical work. And when you point it out, sometimes you hear "we never had a problem". No, you didn't. But the fact is the potential is there for a fire or shock. While it won't happen to most,it could and I don;t want to be responsible for that. We run our fridge before we leave to get it cold. We put one frozen gallon milk jug in the fridge and a half gallon in freezer. Holds up for 12 hours if you don't open the door. We carry a smaller cooler in the truck for our drinks and sandwhiches.
