new ecoboost

I am considering upgrading to t new TV.
They are offering some really good deals on 2014 F 150sI have read a lot of comments on how well they tow, but was wondering if any problems are showing up.
Any comments good or bad would be appreciated.
My TT is only about 4000# loaded (scaled)but am trying to plan for the 3 foot itch.
  • Eco boost would work great. So would a 5.0. Try and keep payload in mind when shopping. The tounge wt comes directly of payload and sometimes that dosent leave much left over for ppl and cargo. There is a sticker in the drivers door jam that will tell you what the max occupants and caro can weigh.

My 2010 F150 5.4 Gas engine with 3:73 gear ratio does very well pulling my 4200LB LOADED OFF-ROAD POPUP. Of course not having wind resistance associated with the travel trailers is somewhat helpful for my F150 towing.

I also get great gas mileage with my 2010 F150 whether or not I am pulling my low wind resistant POPUP trailer. i.e. it seems like my F150 doesn't even know the trailer is back there...

  • If your only towing 4,000 pounds you should just get the 5.0. I too have heard alot of cr-ap about that 3.5 Ecoboost. Theirs no replacement for displacement.
