Everyone who buys an Equal-i-zer and installs it themselves has this issue. The other issue is - do you own or have access to a properly sized torque wrench that is capable of torquing those two shank bolts to 320 ft-lbs and Equal-i-zer hitch ball to 430 ft-lbs.? Most don't, I certainly don't but was able to borrow one from a friend that was rated to 600 ft-lbs - problem solved for me but if you don't have a solution for this you'd better figure one out. ;) BTW, if you'd downloaded and read the Equal-i-zer instructions before you bought it you'd know all this already. :W
