Its time to dig out that dusty list of places to go that would bore the kids silly. My folks did that after my Dad retired. They'd call or write every so often to tell me where they were. By that time, I was a working adult so they didn't have to plan their trips around things that I wanted to do. They went where they wanted to go and I used to drive the 30 miles to their home on weekends to check on the place and take care of the lawn. Boy, paybacks are Hell. :)
Your comments reminded me of something my Mom told me after Dad passed away from a heart attack in 1982. She said it had always been his dream to travel America and see the country once they retired. But he never got the chance. Mom got to take many trips with us in the MH before she passed away a few years ago. Every trip I plan I think about Dad and Mom and how much they would have enjoyed doing what I get to do. I make it a point to have fun every trip we take in their memory.
