New experience for us...

We have now been camping for 23/24 years and just completed our first trip alone. Our first trip many years ago was started when our oldest was 1 and now that our youngest just headed off to college this past Friday, we just camped my wife and I by ourselves. We had a great weekend, weather was great and we were able to handle all the things our son would do to help set up and take down. My wife turns out to be good at directing me to hook up and she cranks down a mean corner jack lol. Looking forward to many more great trips.
  • Wait till the grandkids come along. Our grandson is 12 and we take him everywhere we go during summer when school's out. I've never had so much fun planning trips as I do when I know he's going with us. It gives me reason to go to many different places I might not have gone had he not been with us. In the mean time, enjoy the time the two of you get to spend. DW and I have never been alone in all our years of rving.
  • It sure is a different world without them and man were we ready to be on our own. Stop when and where we want not worry about pools and stuff for them to do. Cook what and when we want get up and go to bed as we please. Yes we miss them but this ain't bad either

That's great! Life has its cycles. You and your bride can enjoy this stage for now.... if you're lucky, eventually there will be grandchildren to take along and spoil. It's all great in its own way. Happy trails!
