There are SOME, but very few true deep cycle 12V batteries. You are WAY better off with 6V GC batteries in groups of two (obviously). If you have 4ea. 12V batteries you likely have more than enough room for 4 GC batteries that will yield an AVERAGE of 464Ah for the stack.
In order of "good", Trojan is arguably at the top, with Interstate, Costco, and whatever other batteries all made by Johnson Controls.
