My parents talked about buying an RV and hitting the road for the last 20 years of dad's life. He never made it to retirement before throat cancer took him. Same with my former Father in Law. He got emphysema when he was in his forties and finally died of throat cancer. By the time he retired he was tied to an oxygen tank and was too broke to travel. I've got 3 years until I can retire and I'm already counting the days.
