I am curious as to why many recommend used "from dealer." I have seen that suggestion in other posts as well. We did that with our first RV and got one with several issues our novice experience didn't see. We have bought used from individuals and had good luck.
In our last RV quest this past summer we found when looking at dealers used stock they often would not detail them until they are bought. We looked at many used rigs in terrible condition. One even had dirty underwear and socks on a closet floor.
I guess my point is, in my experience there are good deals from private parties as well. That being said, I don't think I would buy new again.
