Go purchase a 15,000 watt spot light lay it to where it is shining into that neighbors window. When they come over and I'm positive they will. Tell them your sorry that you thought they were still up when you seen the porch light shining in your camper. That way they will have to approach you rather than you going over there.

I have a motion control porch light, and love it! wired in with a small step light inside that stays on all the time. The light goes off when we go inside, but if anyone walks close by, it comes on. Works well to keep animals, both two and four or more, out of campsite at night. Most small animals on the ground are under the sensor, but racoons on the picnic table are fair game.

My Coachmen has purple LED strip lights under the awning and the frame rails on both sides. Good thing they are dimmable, because only the very lowest setting is low enough. They do make a nice porch light. I unhooked the ones under the frame on the street side so as not to bother the neighbors.

Don't go to Alaska.

I have not had this problem. But I camp at small to midsize campgrounds that are a good distance from major urban areas and that cater to actual campers rather than RVers.

I do not have a porch light. I have a small puck light with a magnet and remote that I stick on my bumper when I'm camped. If I am coming back to my clipper in the dark, I hit my remote and the puck light turns on so I am directed straight to it. When I arrive, I turn off the puck light.

I have seen this at RV parks. They tend to go along with the awnings, yard decorations, dog enclosures, porch carpets, etc. Where I camp, people don't have all that stuff. Instead, they have dog tie outs, tarps, campfires, etc.

Oh gawd another rule to be broken by those unruly weekenders .... Really? Is it necessary to make another rule? Geesh sometimes it's a mistake as pointed out and second why can't you go over in the morning if you don't want to disturb them and politely ask them to shut the outside light off. Yes it should be common sense yet not everyone knows all of the etiquette of campgrounds. Aren't we all neighbors and should be nice. I know that there was a day 10 years ago I became a newbie to camping and had to learn a lot. Hell I'm still learning new things all the time and have met a lot of great people and there's been a few bad ones but I help whenever I can and believe that we all can get along or move on down the road. I really have no idea whether street lights deter crime or not. I suspect not very much.
Just as I have no idea whether keeping nearly all the lights on in a closed business really deters burglars, or if it just doubles the electric bill.
I don't really know what either of those scenarios has to do with the subject at hand, which is people leaving outdoor lights on all night in a campground. I simply maintain that I refuse to make it easy for a prowler to walk around my rig in a campground by lighting the area for her or him. Let them stumble around in the dark! If they trip over something and break a leg it just proves that Karma works!

Never really noticed this so called problem. I must camp in different places or maybe I'm not a tight ass looking to be offended or personally slighted by every little thing that isn't my way.
