I understand folks who sell, or rent out, or otherwise quit using - their previous sticks and bricks home and then buy a LV (Living Vehicle) to then live in for several years. The number of folks who do this probably does not overload the available good camping locations.
The additional folks who early-on opt to live in a LV and occupy the available good camping spots for long periods are what overload the system for folks who want to use vehicles purely for recreational camping purposes.
