No one has mentioned getting to the freeway. Be careful when turning,especially around right hand corners. The trailer might get real close to anything on the corner...fire hydrants, telephone poles, pedestrians! Swing wide until you get a feel for how the trailer is tracking the tow vehicle.
Check your trailer bearings as well has it's brakes. Tire age as mentioned, don't go over 5 years old regardless of tread depth left. Tires deteriorate with age, but sometimes look fine. A blow out will make a mess of things.
