Replacing your toad in an interesting process. The short answer is that we bought a 2014 Ford C Max Energi (traded in our Subaru Forester). It was a discussion on this forum several months ago that interested me. The C Max is able to be towed with all tires on the road. We had a Blue Ox Base Plate installed and tow with no difficulty. We use a Brake Buddy and the odometer does not turn over. The C Max is am amazing car... this week we are getting 73 mpg; as the car reaches its maximum potential, we expect to get even better gas mileage. This summer we towed it 2000 miles and all went well. We disconnected as we wanted to tour around. This is certainly a car to look at because Ford is still giving great incentives to lease.
