We tow a 2010 Malibu automatic 4 down. It is the 6 speed automatic. It is fairly light compared to some and needs to run for 3-4 minutes before towing, and I have a switch in one fuse that keeps it form discharging while on accessory. It has 73,000 miles on it with another 25k towing with no problems. As above, there are several sites that will help find a towable car, but the owners manual in the car is the final say, unless they come out with an addendum like they did with the Cruze several months after its introduction.
