New Tow Car

We have a Ford Flex automatic. Very simple and easy to tow.

No limits on mileage, just everyday before you start for the day. It suggests on a very long day to maybe start it in the middle, but never have. It does have a 65mph speed limit, and we usually go between 62-65, but faster down the hills, has not been a problem so far. The speedo does not register towed miles. Hope this may help. It has to be a newer Focus our 2008 had to be towed on a dolly.

I was at the Ford dealer last summer and the only car that was not towable 4 down was the Escape. That was the one I wanted. I still have the Saturn and it is still good. For me, growing up in Detroit and a father & wife that both worked for American car co. I have not had a foreign car in my garage.

Me too Mr. Mark! Have towed a Honda Accord 2002 and a Honda Fit 2007 and both are great as cars, and Toads too! May have to get either something manual or look at some of the other makes when it comes time for a new Toad. Daily driver is a Ford Fusion 2010 (towable) and like it, just like towing smaller cars.

For the most part all we have ever towed were Honda Accords with manual trannys. Unfortunately, the new Accords even with manual tranny's can no longer be towed four down.

When the time comes for us to change toads, we'll have to see what is available. If Remco makes a lube pump for the new Honda transmissions, it might still be in the running in a couple of years.

One thing is for sure, we will only buy an automatic transmission vehicle. I had a couple of standard shift cars in my early life and they were fine but I don't want to shift one now.

I, too, like towing a lighter type toad.

My Equinox is an easy tow and nice to drive. My Wrangler is nice in the mountains and easy to tow.

We are wanting to get a higher quality cover for dirt/rain protection for Wrangler dinghy. Looking for half cover not the full car cover. Anyone have a good one they can steer me towards?

2012 Ford Escape LTD AWD Auto with the correct model of transmission and adjusted level of tranny fluid. Thousands of miles without issue, just have to warm up transmission for 5 minutes, and every tankful of gas thereafter.
