That is really strange! It is not at all common to hear of sway issues with a Scamp. My first thought has to be a low tongue weight. You should have at least 200 lbs. on there. With a battery and LP tank on the front it seems like you would have at least that much, though.
If it is less than that, easiest way to add more is to add another battery or another LP tank on there.
Your trailer doesn't have a storage box added onto the rear bumper, does it? That could be contributing.
Was the sway just a little bit of occasional wag that quickly stopped, or was it a back-and-forth oscillation that didn't want to quit? The former is probably not a concern, but the latter is.
If you don't get the knowledge you need over here, consider also asking at the FiberglassRV.com forum. The folks there are nearly all owners of egg trailers similar to yours: Scamps, Casitas, Bolers, and the like. Maybe they would have additional insight.
