The "Mr Coffee" method has worked well for us for years when there's no shorepower and we can't or don't want to run the generator. It's simple and requires no extra equipment, just a standard pan to heat on the stove. We pour the finished pot of coffee into an insulated "Airpot" carafe that keeps it hot for hours.
