TY to all!
I was planning on the 1500lb bars to be safe, but 1400lbs, holy cripe! Lol. Not sure exactly what we would end up loading in the front pass through, but in our current trailer we have a Coleman Roadtrip grill, a 10x10 Ez-Up (weighs about 50lbs), 2 awning mats, 4 camp chairs, and some blocks for the scissor jacks and tongue.
I did get a reply from Jayco that coupler height is 28", but that seems crazy high. Had one member over on the Jayco forum state his is about 21" ro so (ground isn't exactly level- drops a little in front of tongue jack).
I am familiar with the quirkiness of the DC set up and possible adjustments needed with load changes as I have the original u bolt model on our current trailer. TY for mentioning it though in case I wasn't! That was one of the reasons I have slightly considered the SC system. Not for sure, I anticipated it would not be as "quirky" if we changed the tw a little compared to how the DC could react.
With a bottom mount coupler, is there any reason I may need a 1" rise ball? Only have ever had top mount couplers.
CampingN.C.: Have a safe and fun trip!
TY again to all!
